The local knowledge
Even breakfast can reveal that something is wrong with the universe in Rankin’s Brentford. In Retromancer, a changed menu at The Wife’s Legs Café is one of the signs that history has gone awry. It is a wonderfully ordinary setting for a story concerned with anything but ordinary events.
Our interpretation
Cream enamel and red-and-teal lettering give our café sign a cheerful British high-street feel. The colours and signwriting are our own visual interpretation.
